Everything You Want To Know

I HAVE A QUESTION

Client FAQs

What is the best time of day for photos?

For quiet streets and soft light, sunrise is our best friend.
For that flattering, golden, glowing, perfect light, your best option is sunset. We should meet at least 1 hour before official sunset time, and the shoot will last until there is no more light available.
For lifestyle sessions at home, the best time is whatever period of the day your house receives the most natural light.
But these are not rules set in stone. Other times of the day can be just as fun and produce interesting lighting.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Bethesda, MD, right outside Washington DC, and yes I love to travel! If you'd like for me to photograph your story, it might require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, I want to make this as easy as possible for you, so we can talk about it and find a solution that fits your budget and our schedule. Seriously though, my creativity gets such a boost when I'm in a new place!

Do you offer payment plans?

I sure do! We can divide and schedule your payments up to the session or event date. Just let me know if this is something you're interested in.

When will we get our photos?

Processing time for portrait sessions is 2 weeks. Weddings take 4-6 weeks for delivery of the full edited gallery. However, when possible, I send a sneak peek with an average of 10-20 images within a few of days of your session or wedding.

How many pictures will we receive?

I always choose quality rather than quantity. Most of my collections include all viable images. Which means that, with the exception of blinking eyes and technical errors (every photographer makes them, trust me!), you'll get every image we shot.

Do you offer prints and albums? What if I want to print the images myself?

Yes! There's nothing better than holding images in your hands. I get all giddy and happy when my clients ask me to print their photos. I offer signature fine-art prints in a variety of sizes, coffee table books with a beautiful fabric cover and matte finish, as well as classic lay-flat albums.
And no worries, you can print your photos yourself too. Your contract includes a personal print release and you receive high-resolution images that are perfect for printing.

Can I share the images online?

A thousand times yes! There are only two rules: 1. Remember to credit the image to me by tagging with @elisllinares, and 2. Do not re-edit or add filters to the images.
